Function and Mission

The Education Cluster supports agencies’ core missions by providing timely and meaningful information to the agency directors and respective staff, while upholding Office of the Chief Financial Officer ethical values and maintaining our fiduciary responsibility to the taxpayers of the District.

With our primary focus on balanced budgets and clean audits, the Education Cluster actively participates in agency directors’ efforts to improve student achievement and reform through following highlighted items:

• Providing accurate, reliable, and timely financial information.
• Implementing best practices related to budget development and execution, financial management, and reporting and analysis.
• Being responsive to the needs of our stakeholders.
• Maintaining exemplary levels of customer service.
