Bonus Checks Released from the Office of the Chief Financial Officer Today

Wednesday, December 15, 1999

WASHINGTON, DC - The Government of the District of Columbia's Office of the Chief Financial Officer announced that bonus checks promised to union workers are ready for disbursement to the District Government's 5,871 union employees. The Office of the Chief Financial Officer has called each District Government agency to inform them that bonus checks can be picked up at the District's Disbursing Unit in the Office of Finance and Treasury this afternoon.

"Ensuring that bonus checks were issued to our District Government workers on the date promised is a goal that the Mayor, the Authority, the Council, and the OCFO worked toward together. We are very pleased that we were able to keep that promise to them," says Ms. Valerie Holt, Chief Financial Officer.

Payroll representatives from each agency have been authorized to pick up the bonus checks today at the Office of Finance and Treasury's Disbursing Unit. Checks will be made available throughout the week.
