James E. Glymph, CIGI

James E. Glymph brings to the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Integrity and Oversight (OIO) more than 34 years of experience within the District of Columbia Government and over 25 years of law enforcement experience.
Glymph came to the OIO in December 2011, as a Criminal Investigator and was later selected as the Director of OIO, in August 2013.  Prior to joining the OCFO, Glymph served as a Special Agent, and as Director of Investigations within the District of Columbia Office of the Inspector General (DCOIG), where he conducted and oversaw criminal and administrative investigations, respectively.  
 
During Glymph’s 34 year tenure with District government he served the citizens of the District of Columbia in various positions. He began his District government service in 1979 with the Department of Human Resources and has also worked with the Department of Human Services (DHS).  In 1996, after having served as DHS’ Chief of Internal Affairs in the Office of Investigations and Compliance, Glymph accepted a position with the DCOIG. 
 
Glymph served honorably in the United States Army, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Political Science from Fayetteville State University and graduated from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), Criminal Investigator Training Program as a Criminal Investigator.  Glymph also attended the Association of Inspectors General, Certified Inspector General Investigator Institute where he was certified as an Inspectors General Investigator.
