The Office of Financial Operations and Systems (OFOS) serves as the primary resource for training District accounting and financial management personnel to use the financial systems needed to perform their assigned functions. In addition, certain nonfinancial staff members are also trained to use specific functions (e.g., inquiry, report generation) within the financial systems. Currently, OFOS provides training on the following systems: System of Accounting and Reporting (SOAR) (the official financial (accounting) system of record) and CFO$olve (a data extraction and report writing system).
Agency training coordinators (ATCs) work closely with OFOS personnel to enroll agency staff in training and ensure that all training requirements are met. OFOS develops the schedule of prerequisites and course materials and makes them, along with information on obtaining log-in IDs, and relevant procedure manuals.
District employees (financial and non-financial) may also contact OFOS directly at (202) 442-8200 to inquire about systems training.
