Voya Financial (“Voya”) is the new administrator of the District’s 401(a) Defined Contribution Plan and 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan accounts. Please be advised that Voya Financial is now fully operational. The website is available at dcretire.voya.com. You are encouraged to create an account on Voya’s website and explore their dashboard to become familiar with the updated layout, new features, and available resources.
What’s New
Employees must ensure their banking information is on file with Voya. To manage fraud and abuse, Voya no longer allows participants to submit banking information directly on the withdrawal application. Banking information must be added or updated in one of the following ways:
- Call Voya at 833-427-1802 or
- Visit the Voya website at dcretire.voya.com
Steps to Update Banking Information Online
- Select your Name
- Go to Personal Information
- Scroll to Banking Information
- Select the appropriate account and click Add/Edit
Important Notice:
It takes seven (7) calendar days for newly added banking information to clear. Banking information must be fully cleared before an employee can submit a withdrawal request. If the banking information has not cleared, Voya will mail the distribution check to the separating employee’s mailing address on file.
Example:
John Doe contacts Voya on June 1, 2026, and sets up his banking information. Mr. Doe should wait until June 9, 2026, to submit his withdrawal paperwork to ensure his distribution is deposited into his bank account and not mailed to his home address.
For questions about your 401(a) and/or 457(b) accounts, please contact Voya.
For questions on retirement and retiree benefits, please contact a member of the OHR Benefits Team: Ms. Sanyu Reason, HR program manager for Employee Benefits, or Ms. Danielle Carvain, HR specialist for Employee Benefits.
