Rebecca A. Berry

Rebecca Berry became agency fiscal officer in October 2014, serving the Department of Licensing and Consumer Protection, Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Administration, and Office of the Tenant Advocate. She works closely with her agencies to assist in achieving their agency’s missions in accordance with the mission of the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO).

Berry started as an intern for the OCFO in February 2002 during her senior year of college and became a full-time employee as a revenue accountant in July 2002. Berry left for two years to work as an auditor for D.C. Public Schools and returned “home” to the Economic Development and Regulation Cluster to work as a budget analyst. She was promoted to budget officer in October 2009 and agency fiscal officer in October 2014. In June 2019, Berry was detailed to the District Integrated Financial System project to assist with implementation of the District’s new financial system. For the project, she was engagement team lead on the organizational change management team. In May 2023, Berry resumed her role as agency fiscal officer. 

Berry received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Morgan State University (Baltimore, MD) in May 2002.
