Anthony Norman is the agency fiscal officer for the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and has served in this role since 2019. As AFO, he oversees the operational and capital budgets along with grants management. In addition, he manages the annual budget for the Judicial Disabilities and Tenure and Judicial Nomination Commission.

Norman, who is a 19-year veteran of the Public Safety and Justice Cluster, began his career as a grant analyst for the Metropolitan Police Department. He was promoted to budget officer in 2015, where he provided financial oversight and grant management for the Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency, Office of Victim Services and Justice Grants, Office of the Deputy Mayor for Public Safety and Justice, the DC National Guard, and the Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement.

Prior to joining the District government, Norman held several financial and operating positions in the corporate sector, including fortune 500 company Yum! Brands, Inc., formerly known as Tricon Global Restaurants.

He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration, with a concentration in marketing, from Fayetteville State University, North Carolina. He is a member of the Government Finance Officers Association.
