Dennis Ramprashad became the controller of the Economic Development and Regulation Cluster in February 2014. Prior to his current position, he was in public accounting for more than 26 years providing audit, accounting and consulting services to governments, not-for-profit and commercial entities.
He was a senior assurance manager with Miller Musmar’s CPAs and PricewaterhouseCoopers, a principal at Cobb, Bazilio and Associates; and an audit senior and staff at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte & Touché.
His experience includes performing audits and consulting services for the D.C. Department of Housing and Community Development, Walter E. Washington Convention Center, D.C. Lottery Board, D.C. Water and Sewer Authority, and the D.C. Control Board.
Ramprashad earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Howard University and is a certified public accountant. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Government Finance Officers Association.
