Casandra Fields is the agency fiscal officer for the Office of Cable Television, Film, Music and Entertainment; Office of Zoning; and Real Property Tax Appeals Commission. Prior to her position in the District, Fields was a finance director at The George Washington University for 12 years, where she formulated and managed annual budgets and five-year strategic budget plans and provided administrative oversight for two university divisions.

Fields has more than 25 years of experience in the banking industry, non-profits, small business and higher educational administrative operations, contract administration, financial management, budgeting, human capital management, payroll, purchasing, and strategic planning.

Fields has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, University College, and has completed coursework toward a master’s degree at George Washington University. She is a former member of the National Association of College and University Business Officers and is currently a member of the Government Finance Officers Association.
