Casandra Fields is the agency fiscal officer for the Office of Cable Television, Film, Music and Entertainment, Office of Zoning, and the Real Property Tax Appeals Commission. Prior to her position in the District, Fields was a finance director at The George Washington University for 12 years, where she formulated and managed annual budgets and the five-year strategic budget plan. She also provided administrative oversight for two university divisions.

Fields has more than 25 years of experience in the banking industry, non-profit, small business and higher educational administrative operations, contract administration, financial management, budgeting, human capital management, payroll, purchasing, and strategic planning.  

Fields has a bachelor's from the University of Maryland University College and has completed coursework toward a Master of Business Administration at The George Washington University. She is a member of the Government Finance Officers' Association and a former member of National Association of College and University Business Officers
