Doris Benson currently serves as the budget officer for the Office of Planning. She previously supported several agencies within the cluster including CAH, DCRA, DFHV, DCOZ, DMPED, OCTFME, OPC and PSC. Benson is also the primary agency security officer and training coordinator for the EDRC cluster agencies.

Benson has been employed with the OCFO since February 1998, during the era of the control board. As agency security officer and training coordinator, she helped transition the EDRC cluster from FMS to SOAR and, ultimately, PASS.

Prior to joining the OCFO, Benson worked for more than 20 years in the finance field with various commands in the Department of Defense (Navy Regional Finance Center, HQ, Naval Supply Systems Command, and HQ, Naval Sea Systems Command) supporting engineers, funding fleet services, and maintaining budget controls for construction of mine sweepers and mine hunters.  

Benson attended Maryland University University College and completed DAWIA certification for Defense Acquisition.
