Associate Deputy Chief Financial Officer, Office of Budget and Planning
In August 2023, Sherrie Greenfield was appointed the Associate Deputy Chief Financial Officer in the Office of Budget and Planning (OBP).
Greenfield joined OBP in 2003 as the branch chief for Economic Development, Public Works, and Enterprise Funds agencies. She worked in the Operating Budget Division of OBP until 2008 when she became the capital budget controller for OBP’s Capital Budget Division. She became the manager for the Capital Budget Division in 2018 and was later appointed the interim director for the Capital Budget Division in 2019.
Before working for OBP, she was a capital budget manager for the DC Water and Sewer Authority, and before that, she was employed with the Student Loan Marketing Association (Sallie Mae) as a manager in the Financial Planning and Analysis office.
A native Washingtonian, Greenfield has earned a master's in business administration, and finance, from George Washington University, Washington, DC, and a bachelor's in accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park. Greenfield is a certified public accountant and a Government Finance Officers' Association member.
