Henry W. Mosley

Chief Financial Officer, Washington Convention Center Authority

Henry W. Mosley In July 2005, Henry W. Mosley became the chief financial officer (CFO) for the Washington Convention Center Authority (WCCA). In this post, he oversees all matters relative to the WCCA’s budget, accounting and revenue operations.

For the three years prior to this appointment, Mosley served as associate CFO for the Economic Development and Regulation Cluster, where he was responsible for all aspects of financial management for the District’s 16 economic development and regulation agencies, including managing a restructuring project that netted $1 million in personal service savings and reconciling a $220 million loan portfolio. In this position, Mosley was also responsible for providing oversight to four of the District’s independent agencies, including the WCCA. Because of Mosley’s outstanding performance and accomplishments, he was the recipient of the 2001 Chief Financial Officer and Outstanding Agency Operations Awards.

Mosley is a certified public accountant with extensive experience both in the private and public sectors. Prior to joining the District government in 1999, Mosley served as the CFO for a local law firm. He also directed the start-up operation, and then managed the entire financial operation, of a major university’s multi-specialty medical facility that included more than 150 participating physicians.

Mosley’s education includes a master’s in business administration from Williamette University in Salem, Ore., and a bachelor’s degree in business management and an A.S. degree in computer science from Loma Linda University in Riverside, Calif.
