Key Responsibilities
Human Support Services includes the Child and Family Services Agency and the departments of Health, Human Services, Mental Health, Parks and Recreation, Youth Rehabilitation Services and the Office of the State Superintendent of Education.
Responsibilities
- Oversight and direct supervision of the financial and budgetary functions of the agencies within the Human Support Services Cluster (HSSC)
- Operate, maintain, and coordinate a financial management system to budget, collect, control, and properly account for HSSC’s annual operating and capital funds
- Preparing the agency’s annual budget within HSSC, representing the agencies in the federal appropriations process, and monitoring budget performance during the fiscal year
- Develop, implement and monitor the agency’s accounting policies and systems to assist in the production of the audited Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the city
