Journey Anacostia is a public art sculpture and mural by DC artist Wilfredo Valladares.
The installation reflects the diverse history and heritage of the Anacostia community and seeks to inspire the viewer to establish a dialogue on the interconnection of the past, present and future of Anacostia. The walls behind the sculpture were transformed with a colorful mural created in collaboration with youth from the United Planning Organization’s POWER Program.
