The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities congratulates artistic director, Michael Kahn and the Shakespeare Theatre Company on winning the Regional Theatre Tony Award on Sunday, June 10 at the Beacon Theatre in New York.
Each spring the Tony Administration Committee selects the institution that will receive the Regional Theatre Tony Award based on a recommendation by the American Theatre Critics Association. A grant of $25,000 accompanies the Regional Theatre Tony Award.
