Department of Health Care Finance Announces AmeriHealth to Assume Operations of DC Chartered Health Plan in May
(Washington, DC) – The Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF) today announced that AmeriHealth Mercy Family of Companies (AMFC) will assume operations of DC Chartered Health Plan, Inc. on May 1, 2013 and will be responsible for the payment of only those beneficiary claims with a date of service on or after this date. As a part of the agreement to assume operations of the DC Chartered Health Plan, AMFC will oversee processing of all outstanding claims with a date of service prior to May 1, 2013, but will not assume financial responsibility.
