Biography
Thomas Berger
Associate CFO, Education Cluster 

Tom Berger is associate CFO for the education cluster. Prior to joining the OCFO in August 2008, he was president of Manchester Associates, a consulting firm.

He has served as vice president of finance and administration, treasurer and chief financial officer for a number of institutions including the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago; Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Mich.; Museum of Science in Boston and Hood College in Frederick, Md. Berger was also deputy treasurer of the National Gallery of Art in the District of Columbia.

Berger is an adjunct professor in the graduate program in museum studies at the George Washington University. He is also an adjunct  professor at the University of Baltimore in the graduate program in economics/finance/management science. Berger is a leadership board director of Financial Executives International (FEI) and former president of the Baltimore Chapter of FEI.

Berger holds a master's in business administration -- finance and strategic planning, from Boston College; and a bachelor's in fine arts from Denison University.
