Biography
Marcy Edwards
Senior Financial Policy Advisor, Office of the Chief Financial Officer

Marcy Edwards was appointed senior financial policy advisor for the Office of the Chief Financial Officer in January 2005. Her responsibilities include advising the chief financial officer and the treasurer on all of the District’s financial matters, while focusing on how the District can maintain and improve its credit ratings.

Edwards was previously a partner and executive vice president of the New York-based financial advisory firm Public Resources Advisory Group (PRAG), where she advised the District of Columbia on credit issues for several years.

While working for PRAG, Edwards advised a number of large issuers in addition to the District, including the states of Virginia, Georgia, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina and Maryland, and numerous cities including New York, Los Angeles and Atlanta.

Prior to joining PRAG, Edwards was a vice president and manager at Moody’s Investors Service, where she worked for eight years. She also worked in Washington, DC, for the US Senate Budget Committee, the US Office of Management and Budget and the US Department of Energy.
