Biography William DiVello
Executive Director, Office of Integrity and Oversight
William J. DiVello was appointed executive director of the Office of Integrity and Oversight (OIO) in March 2010. Chief Financial Officer Natwar M. Gandhi created the office as an audit and investigative organization responsible for assuring the integrity, efficiency and effectiveness of the operations of the Office of the Chief Financial Officer.
Prior to his appointment, DiVello served at the District of Columbia Office of the Inspector General as the Assistant Inspector General for Audit where his responsibilities included oversight of the city-wide financial audit. Mr. DiVello also served as the director of Oversight for the OIG, Department of the Treasury and division audit director for the Naval Audit Service. He served four years in the United States Air Force and currently serves on the executive Board of Directors for the Association of Inspectors General. DiVello is a Certified Fraud Examiner and a Certified Inspector General.
DiVello received his Bachelors degree in business administration from Wilmington College in Delaware. He received his Masters degree in business management from Central Michigan University. |
