How to Report Unclaimed Property

Reporting Instructions and Forms

Please report safe deposit box contents, safekeeping properties, and tangible loan collateral separately from other property. Do not forward the contents, tangible items, or inventory sheets with your report. You will be notified in writing of your scheduled delivery date.

Securities, however, must be mailed at the same time as the report. All cash and physical securities must be received with the report by the filing deadline. Securities must be registered in the District's nominee name "Government & Company". The report and the stock certificate should be forwarded to the Unclaimed Property Unit.
