OCFO Community Outreach

Real Property Assessments

Each year around March 1, when new assessments are mailed to property owners in the District of Columbia, the Office of Tax and Revenue's (OTR) Real Property Tax Administration conducts a citywide outreach effort. Representatives attend Advisory Neighborhood Commission and other community meetings to provide information on how the assessment process is conducted, what to expect when the new assessments are mailed, and how to appeal a property assessment by the April 1 due date.

If you would like to invite an OTR representative to your next meeting, contact David Fitzgibbon at (202) 442-6760.

For more information on assessments, visit the Real Property Service Center.
