Reporting Misconduct

How to Report Misconduct,Suspicious Activity, and Other Violations
The Code of Conduct requires that employees report misconduct, fraud, suspicious activity and other violations. The OCFO will support employees in meeting this reporting responsibility, will take action on matters that are reported, and will not tolerate retaliation against whistleblowers.

Report misconduct, suspicious activity, and other violations to the OCFO Office of Integrity and Oversight:

1100 4th Street, SW, Suite 750-E
Washington, DC 20024
(202) 442-6433

Employees may report by telephone, in-person, mail, or electronically. If an employee has questions about whether a matter warrants reporting, the employee should contact OIO, and an OIO representative will be available to discuss the matter or meet with the employee. Reporting electronically to OIO can be done by accessing the following link: Reporting Misconduct, Suspicious Activity, and Other Violations.

Should the matter involve criminal activity that warrants reporting to the DC Office of the Inspector General or law enforcement, OIO will make the appropriate notifications.

Other options for employees to report misconduct and other violations are:

OCFO Confidential Hotline
See the OCFO Confidential Hotline to access information on this confidential hotline service that can be accessed electronically or by phone 24 hours a day.

DC Office of the Inspector General
Employees may directly report criminal or administrative misconduct, as well as fraud, waste and abuse, to the DC Office of the Inspector General (OIG).
