Biography
Steve Russo
Chief Financial Officer, Anacostia Waterfront Corporation 

As Chief Financial Officer for the Anacostia Waterfront Corporation (AWC), Steve Russo is responsible for planning and directing all financial activities of the corporation, including budgeting, accounting, financial analysis, and bond issuances. He possesses more than 12 years of public sector financial management experience at the federal, state and local levels.

 

Prior to joining AWC, Russo served for more than four years as an agency fiscal officer for the District government. He has also served as director of finance for the Public Parking Authority of Pittsburgh, where he participated in debt financings for a number of major economic development projects in the City of Pittsburgh. In addition, he has worked as a budget analyst at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors and at the US Department of Justice in Washington, DC, and as a legislative assistant for a US senator.

 

Russo holds a bachelor’s degree and an MPA in public policy and management from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a graduate of the federal government’s Presidential Management Internship Program and has received numerous awards and commendations for his achievements in public sector financial management.
